How to get a mortgage

Whether you’re buying your first home, upsizing before adding to your family or moving to suit your new lifestyle, you’ll probably need a mortgage.

The idea behind a mortgage is really simple. After you put down a deposit on your new home, your lender (often a bank) will pay for the rest. The seller gets the money, and you’ll slowly pay the lender back, most often over 25 years, with interest added on top.

Of course, there are lots of different types of mortgages for people with different needs, and the application process can take a lot of time. Are you ready to get started?
